Prospectud design and branding for Palliative Care Australia (PCA)

The Brief

In 2021 Palliative Care Australia (PCA) celebrated its 30th year influencing and promoting the delivery of quality support for those in need. This was an iconic moment for Australia’s leading provider, as It was also the first time a conference had been streamed virtually due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The client required a digital prospectus detailing the conference theme, organisational values, mission statement, and sponsorship options. Working remotely with a Melbourne-based events agency, I also provided digital assets for the virtual platform and a brand refresh for the event.

The Solution

Selecting the appropriate imagery for the event was crucial to avoid the typical visual style associated with bereavement.  The client wanted to promote the service as an opportunity for families to spend invaluable time together with comfort and dignity.

Due to the event being delivered virtually, destination images and photographs from previous conferences featured in previous years were avoided.

Branding Concept

The brand refresh needed to retain elements from the original while offering the ability to scale for various media formats. An icon was introduced to replace the letter ‘O’ which could be applied as the website favicon and allow future use of a mobile app icon.
